Hettich KA 4532 full extension ball bearing drawer slides with soft close. Side mounted, 35kg load capacity, in lengths from 300mm to 550mm.

These are a strong, smooth all-rounder for kitchen drawers, wardrobes, office cabinets and workshop storage. Steel ball bearings give an even glide, the built-in soft close stops drawers slamming, and full extension gives you access to the whole drawer.

Choosing the right length

Pick the slide length that matches the depth of your drawer box. Measure the inside depth of the cabinet from the front edge to the back panel and make sure it is at least as long as the slide. If you land between two sizes, choose the shorter slide.

Planning your drawer width

Side mounted slides need a small gap between the drawer box and the cabinet side on each side. Ball bearing slides like these typically need about 12.7mm (1/2 inch) per side, so make the drawer box about 25mm narrower than the opening. Check the Hettich fitting instructions for your exact drawer before you cut.
